Born in Jacksonville, Florida, Bret grew up in Orange Park before settling in Atlanta, Georgia, where he went on to graduate from the University of Georgia. Guided by deep gratitude for now God has blessed his hourney, Bret created The Adventures of Chopperlilly as his way of gibing back. He wants to help kids navigate life's early choices so they can avoid making the same mistakes he did, believing wholeheartedly that the love and guidance we share with children helps them develop a truly great and fulfilling life.

When he isn't writing or developing new adventures for Chopperlilly you can usually find Bret out on the gold course, casting a fishing line, woodworking, diving into history or spending time with his dog, Nova. Guided by Wayne Gretzky's famous reminder that "you miss 10% of the shots you don't take, "Bret is thrilled to share his multi-book journey with young readers and warmly welcomes feedback, insights, and direct messages from the kids and their families!
